Duruş is a tracking and awareness app for people who want to take control of their impulse spending — betting, crypto, late-night shopping and similar "leaks". This page explains what data the app processes and where that data lives.

The short version

Duruş has no server. You don't create an account and you don't sign in. Everything you enter into the app stays only on your own phone.

Data stored on your device

While you use the app, the following is stored on your phone:

• Your quit date, your weekly average amount and your answers to the setup questions
• The leaks you selected, each leak's counter start date and the agreements you set for yourself (risky-hour windows, delay periods)
• The gram-gold rate used in the vault view — a value you enter yourself; a live rate is NEVER fetched from the internet
• Your daily check-ins and slip logs — date, place, trigger, amount, mood
• Your urge logs and the steps you took in the panic flow
• Your goal, the lessons you've read and your milestones
• The reason you wrote down and, if you recorded one, your voice memo
• Only the name and phone number of the person you chose as your trusted contact
• The summary shown by the home screen widget (day count and amount saved), kept only in your phone's shared app group
• Your theme, reminder time and notification preferences

None of this data is sent anywhere we — or anyone else — could see it.

Contacts permission

If you want to pick a trusted contact, the app asks for contacts permission. If you allow it, the system contact picker opens and only the person you select has their name and number read. Your address book is never scanned, copied or sent anywhere. If you decline, the app keeps working; you can type a number in by hand.

Voice recording and free text

During setup you can, if you wish, record your reason in your own voice. That recording lives in your phone's own file storage, is not backed up to any cloud and is never sent anywhere. You can delete it from within the app at any time.

Safari content blocker

Duruş includes an optional Safari content blocker that cuts known betting-site patterns in the browser. The blocking rules ship with the app and run inside Safari itself. The extension CANNOT see which sites you visit, cannot record them and cannot send anything to Duruş or anywhere else — Safari takes the rule list once and does the matching entirely on its own.

Notifications

All reminders are scheduled on your phone. No server is used to send notifications.

Analytics and advertising

Duruş contains no analytics, tracking or advertising software. Which screens you open and how long you use the app are not measured and not sent anywhere. The only place the app touches the network is subscription verification.

Subscription

The Pro subscription is sold through the App Store. A service called RevenueCat is used to verify subscription status. The information sent to that service is limited to:

• An app-specific anonymous identifier that cannot be traced back to you
• Purchase details: which product you bought, when, renewal and cancellation status, country and currency
• Technical details such as app version, OS version and device type

The following is never sent: your name, your e-mail, your phone number, your trusted contact and nothing you enter into the app — slip logs, amounts, your reason text, your voice recording, your notes.

Duruş never sees your payment details; Apple handles those.

Your control over your data

• Export: From the Me screen you can export all of your data as a JSON file. The file goes only where you choose to put it.
• Delete: "Delete my data" on the Me screen erases every record on your phone, the voice recording, the widget data and all scheduled notifications. This cannot be undone.
• Deleting the app has the same effect: because the data lives on the device, it leaves with the device.

This is not a medical app

Duruş does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Its content is for information and self-tracking.

Duruş is written with adults in mind. The app contains no betting content, no games and no links to betting services.
